BIOGRAPHY
M. Faiz Syuaib is a professor in Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB University) in 1990, followed by a Master’s in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering from Ibaraki University, Japan in 2000. He completed his Doctorate in Agricultural Science & Engineering (Human Factors Engineering) at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in 2003.
In addition, he earned certification of Professional Engineer in Agricultural Engineering from the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII) in 2018.
His dedication to agricultural engineering led him back to IPB University as a lecturer. In addition to his teaching activities, he has held several key positions, including Coordinator for international collaboration as well as coordinator of community services at the Faculty (2012-2018), Secretary of the Institute for Research and Community Services of IPB University (2018-2020), and Vice Chairman for Collaboration and resources development of the same institute (2020-2022). Since 2014, he has been a member of the Evaluation and Accreditation Committee (EAC) and Discipline Chair for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at the Indonesia Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE). In 2022, M. Faiz Syuaib was appointed as Director of Research, Technology, and Community Services under the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
