The Week of Indonesia – Netherlands Education and Research (WINNER) conference is dedicated to advancing research and education across a spectrum of topics relevant to both Indonesia and the Netherlands, with a particular focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It serves as a platform for researchers, educators, and stakeholders from various sectors to explore each other’s work, exchange best practices, and forge collaborative opportunities.

WINNER announces its fifth edition, taking place from 24-26 September 2024. This year’s conference is themed ‘Nurturing Mutually Beneficial Cooperation in Higher Education and Research’ and marks a significant milestone as it introduces a hybrid format, blending physical gatherings in the Netherlands with virtual components. The distinguished opening ceremony will be hosted by The Dutch Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, while the prestigious closing ceremony will be presided over by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia.

On the second day, the conference will feature six streams, each representing a vital aspect of sustainable development between the two countries. These streams will follow a hybrid format, with physical events held at different esteemed universities across the Netherlands. The thematic streams for this year encompass: Energy, Health, Agriculture/Food, Water, Human Capital Development and Open Stream.
