Event Details
Goal of the session: to highlight our plans to set up a bilateral Triple Helix about greening the hinterland connections in West Java and in the Netherlands. Inviting prospect partners to join the Triple Helix.
To fight climate change and to create healthy and pleasant living environments, there’s an urgency to strive for more sustainable transport of freight to and from seaports and within city areas in both Indonesia and the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, we have set up the research group Greening Corridors. The lectorates logistics of the Universities of Applied Sciences Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Venlo, Zeeland, and Arnhem (HAN)) are part of this research group. The main focus of Greening Corridors is to make the hinterland transport and (inland) ports more sustainable. There are three main themes:
- Increase the use of the current capacity of the existing infrastructure and transport means
- Clean, safe, and autonomous transport modalities
- Digitalization of the supply chain
- City logistics
At the request of Indonesian Partners, we would like to set up a bilateral Tripple Helix between Indonesia and the Netherlands. This Triple Helix (Government, Businesses, and Universities) can help participants to learn from each other and to find new ways of working together. Within the collaboration, we will set up joint research projects, organize information and promotional events for businesses, develop study materials, organize joint student events, etc. All to have a positive impact on the sustainability of transport, but also to enrich and improve education for students. The international context will also support the internationalization at home of students in Indonesia and the Netherlands.
