Dr Jasper Heerkens is an expert on poultry housing and welfare. As a researcher and lecturer at Aeres University of Applied Sciences (Dronten, NL), he focuses on improving poultry welfare through better housing and management. He has >10 years of international experience in academia and industry on the subject of poultry welfare in relation to housing conditions and has been active in Indonesia on this subject for about 5 years.
