Event Details
The Indonesian-Dutch engagement has an elaborate history regarding agricultural education-related projects. Education and curriculum development, training of teachers and experts, as well as setting up training facilities contribute very effectively to the improvement of both agricultural education and the agricultural sector. Practical training centres serve several purposes, e.g. practical training of students and teachers, training of experts and industry partners, showcasing best practices and innovations, as well as applied research facilities. Such practical training centres, facilitated by local knowledge institutes, also play a regional role and/or can be used by governments. Partnerships between knowledge institutes and industry partners also ensure shared facilities, thereby broadening its scope and audience. In this WINNER session we will jointly experience that setting up practical training facilities with an interdisciplinary approach with multi-stakeholder engagement and ’world-of-work’ is essential for sustainable outcomes and to have societal impact.
