BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. Is the Dean and professor at the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) since 2017. He has held various positions at the Faculty of Animal Science, including Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs from 2012 to 2016 and Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Agricultural Social Economics from 2016. He has been actively involved in teaching various courses and his contributions to the field of Animal Science have been significant. He has been actively involved in various research and academic activities at UGM, including the establishment of the International Cage-Free Innovatoin and Welfare Hub. The center was inaugurated in June 2023 and is the first of its kind in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. It aims to provide training on cage-free layer chicken management and promote animal welfare in egg production systems.
