BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Dr. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati is professor in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), Indonesia. She is founder and director of the Cluster for Paleolimnology (CPalim) at UNDIP, Indonesia’s first and only research group dedicated to paleolimnological studies. Prof. Soeprobowati integrates Nature-based Solutions (NbS) into research and community engagement, in coastal and riparian ecosystems, such as mangrove forests, sustainable aquaculture, and community-based ecotourism as adaptive strategies for climate resilience. She promotes science-based environmental policy combining ecological restoration with socio-economic empowerment, especially in vulnerable coastal communities, collaborating with local governments and stakeholders and young scientists.
