Dr. Edmon Makarim is the Dean of Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. He is a reknown scholar in Indonesia in regard with Technology Law and Intelectual Property Rights. He was Chairman of the National Security and IT Governance Institute (NSIT-GInst) and Member of the Advisory Council of Public Information Commissioner of Province Jakarta. His research topics are focused on cyber law, online transactions, preventive measures on copyright infringement, cybersecurity, digital rights, and domain conflict. He also dealt with numerous drafts regarding technology law in Indonesia namely on Trade Secret Bill, Cyber Law, Lawful Interception Framework, and many others.
