BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Puspo Edi Giriwono currently serves as the Head of the SEAFAST Center-LPPM IPB and is a Lecturer in the Department of Food Science and Technology, FATETA IPB. He earned his Doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Nutrition from Tohoku University in 2012 and has conducted various research projects on the topic of the effects of bioactive/functional compounds on inflammation and related cellular signaling. Several research projects that have been followed also studied the effects of antioxidants in health. His management qualifications are reflected by several projects that are his responsibility and involve international partners. These projects are applied in training and conferences to educational projects such as international student exchanges.

Dr. Puspo Edi Giriwono’s training teaching experiences include Retooling of Vocational Competence for Higher Education Lecturers in the 2019 academic year in the fields of Food Safety, BPCS, Coffee Technology in collaboration with the Directorate General of Science Institutions. Technology and Higher Education, Ministry of Research and Higher Education; Risk Analysis training instructor in collaboration with FAO/WHO/Ministry of Health in 2019; Risk Analysis training instructor in collaboration with the Directorate of Processed Food Standardization of BPOM in 2020 and Risk Analysis training instructor in collaboration with PRKOM of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021.
