BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Lailan Syaufina is a professor specializing in forest protection, focussing on forest fire management, at the Department of Silviculture, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, IPB University. She has dedicated over 35 years of service to IPB University. Her academic journey began with an undergraduate degree from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB)-1988, followed by a Master’s degree from Georg August University, Germany (1993), and a Ph.D. from Universiti Putra Malaysia (2002). Her fields of interest encompass a wide range of topics related to forest fires, including fire severity assessment, fire management, peatland fire dynamics, fire-biodiversity interactions, fire-climate relationships, and fire-emission studies.
