Dian Afriyanie

BIOGRAPHY
Afriyanie is co-founder of Lokahita and climate reality leader Indonesia. She received her Ph.D degree in city and regional planning from Institute Technology Bandung. She is the first person from South East Asia who received IPCC Scholarship Award for her Ph.D research on urban flood resilience. Afriyanie has more than 20 years professional experiences in disaster risk reduction, climate change and urban planning. Her work with UNDP, UNICEF, USAID, dan GGGI focus on promoting science-based policy for various line ministries and local government in Indonesia, specifically for disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and resilience in urban landscapes.
