BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Bob Eko Kurniawan is a distinguished professional with extensive expertise in corporate sustainability, mining ESG leadership, and program management, particularly in Sustainability Reporting. His career began in 2005 as a Baldrige Performance of Excellence examiner, progressing to his role as Country Program Manager for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in Indonesia in 2017. Currently, Mr. Kurniawan serves as a Board Member for the Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), where he provides leadership, supervises risk management, and champions sustainability. Previously, he was the Head of Operations for Aidenvironment’s Asia Office (2020-2021), driving corporate sustainability transformation and establishing a new independent entity in Asia. His career also includes roles such as Advisory Director at Global Mining Sustainability, Community & Government Relations Manager at Dairi Prima Mineral, and Senior Regional Planning Analyst at UNDP, offering advisory services to the Indonesian government. Mr. Kurniawan holds a Master’s in Urban Housing Management from Erasmus University, and postgraduate qualifications from Lund University and Maastricht School of Management. He earned his Bachelor’s in Economics from the National University in Jakarta and holds various professional certificates, including one in Frontline Management from the Australian Institute of Management. Recognized for his contributions, Mr. Kurniawan received an award-winning CSR program accolade from Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources in 2008. His international experience spans several countries, and he is proficient in MS Office, Microsoft Project, Audit Management, and ESG reporting using GRI Standards.
