BIOGRAPHY

I am an officer at the Regional Development Planning Agency, Research and Development of Deli Serdang Regency, Indonesia. I am interested in developing new methods in participatory planning, development issues, and the use of spatial interventions in planning practices. In November 2021, I defended my PhD thesis entitled “Collaborative Spatial Learning for Improving Public Participation Practice in Indonesia” and got my degree from the ITC-University of Twente. The focus of my research is to investigate the role of collaborative spatial learning methodology in improving the participatory planning practices in Indonesia, called the Musrenbang.
