Day 2
September 25th, 2024
14.00 - 15.15 GMT+7 / 09.00 - 10.15 GMT+2

To strengthen and revitalise professional education for a sustainable food system, a long sequence of collaboration projects have been implemented by consortia of different Netherlands- Indonesian compositions.

In our session, we want to demonstrate how collaboration in a network can lead to sustainable, long lasting partnerships. We do not hop from project to project but have a common thread. The Country plan of Implementation has proved to be a good guideline for this.

In 2023 the so-called Ciputra declaration was signed by 11 parties, showing commitment for a more durable relationship between Dutch and Indonesian education and government partners. How can we put these intentions into actions?

However, we feel that there should be more to it. Revitalisation of green vocational and professional education should be a driving force for more development in this sector.

Also, the collaboration could develop into a more reciprocal partnership. The private sector and the Dutch education sector should also benefit from the learnings

There are some key challenges that the agricultural sector faces in both Indonesia and the Netherlands, e.g. how to keep youth interested in agriculture?

How to move towards a sustainable agricultural sector?

How to stimulate (new, female) entrepreneurship? How to further develop collaborations between education, research, industry, policy and civil society?

There are many more mutual benefits to gain.

During this online session, the presenters will give a brief overview of their recent activities. The audience will be given the opportunity to reflect and give their feedback.

Next, a moderated discussion will take place to explore opportunities for further cooperation.  This will help the participants to sharpen their focus for future actions
