Toward Protein Production 4.0: Smart-Indonesian-Agriculture

Problem statement: Indonesia's increasing demand for animal proteins faces challenges due to land and environmental constraints, necessitating improvements in fish and dairy production per animal or space.<br /> Methods: The study uses a database with longitudinal data on management, animal health, production, and environment, evidence-based analyses, software for farmers to make management decisions, an overview of the production system, and economic and environmental models to understand farmers' behavior and animal production.<br /> Results: The implementation of this strategy not only enhances efficiency but also positively impacts farmers' livelihoods, product quality, and sustainability.<br /> Conclusions: SMART decision support systems, such as apps, will enhance daily farm management, enhancing resource use efficiency, economic efficiency, environmental impact, animal health, welfare, and food safety.
