Wiwi Tjiook is a landscape architect with over 30 years’ experience, currently working for the Urban Planning Department of the Rotterdam Municipality. Her expertise is in landscape and urban design, with a passion for integrated water and landscape planning. She has worked on projects throughout South East Asia, United Kingdom and Australia. Since 1999 she worked for several municipalities in the Netherlands, responsible for all stages of landscape design, e.g. landscape strategy, urban transformation plans, detailed plans for public space, contributed to integrated urban water strategies and the implementation of detailed innovative water plans with an emphasis on sustainability, e.g. new canals, underground water storage. Since 2013 she is actively involved as a driver in the Task force Liveable Cities of the Indonesian Diaspora Network, with integrated water and landscape planning as a specialization.
