BIOGRAPHY
Teguh Wijaya Mulya is Professor of Psychology at Universitas Surabaya, Indonesia. His work explores the intersections of critical psychology, environmental education, and ecopsychology, with a focus on how cultural and spiritual narratives shape human–nature relationships. He co-founded the Ecopsychology Study Club at his university. Teguh’s recent project examines the role of local wisdom and cultural practices for climate education in Indonesian schools through a decolonial lens. Through his teaching, research, and advocacy, he champions transformative, justice-oriented approaches to environmental education rooted in local knowledge, critical reflection, and relational ways of being.
