BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC., Ph.D is a Professor and lecturer at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). He was born in Surakarta, Central Java and cycling is his hobby. He gained his Doctoral degree from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London, UK.
He served as Director-General of Higher Education from July 21st, 2020, and as of August 2021, he is being appointed as the Acting Director-General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology in The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
His experience in the field of higher education is top-notch. He has served as the Secretary of the Higher Education Council (DPT) from 2008-20013. He was one of the team members who outlined Higher Education Legislation in 2012, Medical Education Legislation in 2013, and Engineering Legislation in 2014. He also has served as the Head for Center of Education Assessment in the Ministry of Education and Culture.
