Prof. Dr. Lisa Kuitert is professor of Book History at the University of Amsterdam. She is specialized in the history of publishing, and the author of several books and articles on this subject. She is also editor-in-chief of the book historical journal Quaerendo. Her research concerns the colonial book industry in the Dutch East Indies. Her book Met een drukpers de oceaan over. Koloniale boekcultuur in Nederlands Indië (Amsterdam 2020) will shortly be published in English with NUS Publishers, under the title Print Passages. Colonial Book Culture in the Dutch East Indies.
