 
			BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Agung Nugroho is a professor at the Department of Agroindustrial Technology, Universitas LambungĀ Mangkurat (ULM) in South Kalimantan, with extensive expertise in the valorisation of oil palm biomass for circular economy applications and decarbonisation strategies. His research activities focus on the transformation of oil palm trunks (OPT) into sustainable furniture materials and the production of palm sugar as a value-added product to support rural livelihoods and food security. Further innovation includes the conversion of empty fruit bunches (EFB) into bio-foam through pulping processes, contributing to the development of biodegradable alternatives to synthetic packaging. Agung is also an elected member of the Indonesian Academy of Science (ALMI).
