
BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Natalie Abrokwa works with the Policy, Law and Human Rights Unit (PLR) of the Department of Mental Health and Substance Use of the World Health Organization and regularly teaches about mental health and disability law in various LLM and minor programs, as well as in international summer schools. She holds an LLM in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, and a PhD in International Law on human rights and mental health from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Previously, Dr. Abrokwa was a Managing Board Member of the Groningen Center for Health Law and worked as legal consultant and researcher at the Human Rights Advocacy Centre, a renowned human rights organization in Accra, Ghana.
