Laurens van Veldhuizen (Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam) is an adult education and rural innovation specialist. His specialism – also in SLEEI – is developing and promoting interactive and participatory approaches, mechanisms and institutions. Many years ago, he was project leader of a grass root development project in East Nusa Tenggara for 6 years.
