Throughout my career, I have focused on bridging practical solutions and theoretical frameworks to address social, spatial and environmental change challenges. For more than 15 years, I have been successfully involved in several studies on climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, urban and regional resilience, community development and engagement, coastal management, spatial planning, adaptive social protection and applied urban technology. By combining robust interdisciplinary research with actionable insights, I aim to foster resilience and sustainability in communities facing the dual challenges of rapid urbanization and climate change. My work continues to prioritize impactful contributions to academia, policymaking, and community resilience on both national and global scales.
I have a multidisciplinary education background that combines a bachelor’s degree in Geography, a master’s degree in applied Sociology, and a PhD from the Institute of Urban Innovation, Yokohama National University, completed in 2022.
When in 2007, I joined the Center for Urban Studies at Universitas Indonesia as a Researcher, further expanding my expertise in urban development and policy integration. Also, followed as the post-doctoral researcher in Yokohama National University that completed in 2023. Now, I am a lecturer at the Urban Studies Program, School of Strategic and Global Studies, Universitas Indonesia, contributing to academic excellence and research. Additionally, I am a fellow researcher at the Resilience Development Initiative (RDI), a think-tank where I actively contribute to promoting sustainable development and resilience-building efforts in vulnerable communities.
