BIOGRAPHY
Hans de Brabander is heading the Economic Department of the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta. As an effort to boost trade and investments between Indonesia and the Netherlands, the Embassy is organizing an Economic Mission to North Sumatra – Indonesia’s fourth largest province – focusing on the nexus of AgriFood Systems (Horticulture & Agroforestry), Water (Water for Food), Waste & Circular Economy, and Renewable Energy. Along the lines of the economic mission, the Dutch Embassy supported Living Lab Sustainable Tourism by inviting companies to submit an expression of interest in support of business development around Lake Toba to become a sustainable tourism destination. Before his posting as Head of the Economic department, he has worked many years in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Foreign Affairs and had postings in Czecho-Slovakia, Nigeria and Saudi-Arabia.
