Prof. Dr. Freek van der Meer – University of Twente

A geologist by training from University of Amsterdam who did a PhD in remote sensing at Wageningen University. Having worked most of his career in remote sensing exploration in mineralized systems and oil and gas in 2010 he directed his research to geothermal systems and became a recognized leader in the energy transition debate. He is the project leader of the Geocap project.
