BIOGRAPHY
Wahyu Septiono is a dedicated public health professional with over a decade of experience across critical domains of public health. His expertise spans data science, health policy analysis, health communication, epidemiology, health research, tobacco control, social determinants of health (SDH), and maternal and child health. His academic journey includes a specialization on global tobacco control at Johns Hopkins University, culminating in a doctoral degree in Public Health from the University of Amsterdam. His doctoral thesis, titled “Tobacco Control and Youth Smoking in Indonesia,” underscores his commitment to tackling pressing health issues.
With a master’s degree in International Health from the University of Copenhagen and a bachelor’s degree from Universitas Indonesia, Wahyu has developed a comprehensive understanding of global health challenges. As a Lecturer at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia, Wahyu shares his vast knowledge with the next generation of public health professionals. His research collaborations with esteemed organizations like the World Health Organization and the National Institute of Health Research and Development (NIHRD) in Indonesia demonstrate his dedication to advancing public health on a global scale.
