BIOGRAPHY

The author is an accomplished scholar and professional in the water sector. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Technology chair group at Wageningen University & Research, the same chair group where he earned his master’s degree focusing on urban system engineering. His academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from IPB University. He has been granted with the LPDP scholarship for both his master’s and PhD studies. Professionally, he has gained significant experience as a Junior Engineer at NJS Consultant in Japan, and through his work at UNESCO’s Water and Environmental Science Unit. He was also joined as a member team of the National Steering Committee for Water Resources at Indonesia’s Ministry of National Planning and Development (Bappenas), under the directorate of Water Resources before pursuing PhD. Erbi’s leadership extends beyond his professional roles. From 2020 to 2022, he served as the chairman of Mata Garuda LPDP, an organization for LPDP awardees. Currently, he holds the position of Secretary General of the Forum Insinyur Muda Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (FIM-PII). Demonstrating his commitment to addressing water-related issues, he established the Water Network Initiative, an NGO focused on the water sector. Through his academic pursuits, professional engagements, and leadership roles, he has a strong interest in the field of water resource management and urban development, reflecting his passion and dedication to creating sustainable solutions.
