BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Yulia Rosa Saharman is head of the Department of Clinical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia/Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia. She focuses her work on antimicrobial resistance and infection control in limited resources hospitals in Indonesia. Her PhD thesis (2020) was entitled “ICU-acquired Carbapenem-non-susceptible Bacilli in Indonesia. Focus on: Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa “, and performed as a collaborative project between University of Indonesia/Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital and Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. After PhD graduation, she continued studying on other resistant microorganisms, supervising multiple Indonesian PhD students.
