Associate Professor of Environmental Science Asian University for Women, Bangladesh
Dr. Sayed Mohammad Nazim Uddin is an Associate Professor of Environmental Sciences and Founding Director of the Center for Climate Change and Environmental Health (CCCEH) at AUW. Additionally, He is a Visiting Research Associate in the Community-based Research Laboratory in the Department of Geography at the University of Victoria (UVic), Canada. Dr. Nazim’s research focuses on water security, humanitarian engineering, biodiversity, waste, sanitation, and environmental health in Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, and Latin America. These projects were funded by various donor agencies and research institutions such as the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada; the Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives, University of Victoria; European Union, United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (USA); Oxfam-GB/UNHCR, the University of West of England and AUW.
He has extensive education and training in environmental science, environmental engineering, water resources management, citizen science, geology, hydrology, environmental studies, waste management, and geography. Dr. Nazim has over 17 years of experience in teaching, training, community-based research, and project implementation worldwide.
