Dr. Anis Karuniawati is clinical microbiologist at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia in Jakarta. She is also the vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Her research focuses on prevention of the emergence and spread of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria and infection control in Indonesia. She co-supervises several Dutch-Indonesian collaborative research projects, among which “Turning the tide of Antimicrobial Resistance in Intensive Care Units of a large tertiary care hospital in Indonesia”. She was actively involved in the national surveys on AMR in 2016 and 2017.
