
BIOGRAPHY
Achmad Fadillah graduated with a Master’s degree (MSc) in International Agribusiness and Rural Development Economics from Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Economics at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), the Netherlands, with a scholarship from the Interdisciplinary Research & Education Fund (INREF)/Wageningen Global Sustainability Program. In his studies at WUR, Achmad is actively involved in multiple interdisciplinary research projects focusing on milk quality improvement and economic benefits enhancement in Indonesian smallholder dairy farms. From these projects, he has published two papers in the Journal of Dairy Science (JDS) and Frontiers in Veterinary Science journals in 2023, with three other papers set to be submitted to high-quality (Q1) journals. In recognition of his presentation skills, Achmad received the Best PhD Presenter award at the International Society for Economics and Social Sciences of Animal Health (ISESSAH) Conference 2023 in Helsinki, Finland, and the Best Scientific Poster award at the ASEAN Business, Engineering, and Technology Symposium (ABEATS) 2019 in Bogor, Indonesia. Achmad is also a researcher and lecturer at the School of Business, IPB University, Indonesia. His career goals revolve around becoming a leading researcher in the economic aspects of animal health, with a specific focus on smallholder dairy farming systems. He aspires to bridge the gap between academia and industry by working collaboratively with dairy farmers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to develop practical and sustainable solutions to enhance milk quality and support the economic growth of smallholder dairy farms.
