This study examines the socio-economic and environmental benefits of sustainable aquaculture practices in Banyuwangi, East Java, focusing on three ponds that integrate ecolabel certification. Through initiatives such as food supply, infrastructural development, job creation, environmental conservation, and support for cultural and community events, these ponds provide significant advantages to the local community. The research demonstrates that aquaculture farms with ecolabel certification tend to exhibit higher levels of environmental sustainability and community welfare. The analysis incorporates a comprehensive study location map, water quality effluent analysis, literature review, stakeholder analysis, and the Sustainable Livelihood Asset (SLA) framework. Additionally, benefit transfer analysis was utilized to quantify the economic, social, and environmental impacts. The findings indicate that sustainable aquaculture practices not only enhance the well-being of coastal communities by providing essential resources and opportunities but also promote environmental stewardship. This study highlights the importance of ecolabel certification in fostering responsible aquaculture practices that support local economies and ecosystems. The results are intended to encourage the adoption and promotion of certified sustainable aquaculture, thereby ensuring long-term socio-economic and environmental benefits for coastal communities. Through this research, policymakers and stakeholders are provided with valuable insights into the positive impacts of sustainable aquaculture, reinforcing the need for continued support and expansion of these practices.
