The Indonesian Academy of Sciences (AIPI) is establishing an international journal, Journal of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences (JIAS). It is designed to resonate the desire of mainly, but not exclusively, young scientists to promote their seminal work. The journal will be multidisciplinary (covering biological, physical and social sciences). An Editorial Board with a wide range of backgrounds reflected by the composition of their disciplines and geographic origins has been composed and formalized. As an international journal of multidisciplinary research JIAS will publish Research Articles, Reviews, and Commentaries. The journal will also cater to the needs and interests of relevant policy makers and hence will feature opinion and policy articles. To ensure the sustainability of article submissions, review, and indexing processes, JIAS is collaborating with professional publisher, London-based Taylor and Francis. The journal will call for article submission in early 2026 and launch the first volume soon after.
