Abstract
This interactive session, AI for Flood Resilience, brings together experts from both countries to explore how artificial intelligence can support flood prediction, risk assessment, and community adaptation. Participants will engage in discussions, group activities, and a conceptual demo showcasing AI-driven flood prediction tools. By bridging technical innovation with policy and community action, the session aims to generate actionable insights, foster cross-border collaboration, and contribute to building a sustainable and resilient future.
Flooding poses significant risks in vulnerable areas, necessitating advanced predictive tools for effective disaster management. JIS ANALYTX, an AI-powered flood prediction platform, leverages and seamless integration with third-party data sources, including weather APIs and external databases, to deliver real-time forecasts, risk visualizations via heat maps, and mitigation scenarios. Focused on Indonesia’s urban and rural challenges, the app features interactive UI elements such as customizable alerts, monitoring feeds, and collaborative hubs, ensuring accessibility and scalability.
Through modular architecture and eye-friendly design, it empowers users—from emergency responders to communities—with precise, data-driven insights to enhance preparedness and reduce flood-related damages. Floods remain one of Indonesia’s most severe climate-related risks, threatening lives, infrastructure, and livelihoods. The Netherlands, with its world-renowned water management expertise, and Indonesia, with its urgent adaptation needs, have a unique opportunity to collaborate.
