This is an idea of creative project; this is not a research. But, this idea comes out after my research in 3 cities sequentially since the year 2021.<br />
The focus of my past research was on smart city branding in 3 different cities, namely Manado (2021), Palu (2022) and regency South Minahasa (2023). I met the leaders of the cities and also conducted interviews on different city’s stakeholders since 2021. Based on my findings, city leaderships need scholars in creating as well as implementing smart city branding strategy. The strategy and tactics need to be comprehensive, require collaboration from other partners and it needs to be sustainable in order to promote that city branding.<br />
Thus, I present you a creative project called: DANCE YOUR WAY TO A MORE SUSTAINABLE CITY “…” (I suggest the first city to organize this event is Bitung in North Sulawesi). This project is a dance competition, inviting participants from other cities in Indonesia and abroad. Categories are various: traditional, modern dance and different group age (youths to elders can participate). Location takes place on the icon of the city.<br />
At least, 5 partners are identified to form this event: city government, universities, schools, businesses/entrepreneurs and fitness centers/dance schools.
