BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Cora van Oosten is a human geographer with over 30 years of international experience in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe. As director of CIFOR-ICRAF’s Capacity Development and Education, she helps translate research outcomes into cutting-edge learning products and supports projects and programs to innovate their capacity development action. One of these is the Restoration Education initiative, which focuses on integrating landscape restoration in the curricula of higher education institutes. Launched by CIFOR-ICRAF and adopted by a growing number of universities, the Restoration Education initiative is expanding rapidly and getting institutionalized in curricula across Africa and Asia.
