BIOGRAPHY
Ir. Annisak Laila Rakhmawati, M.Sc. is a water and coastal engineer with more than 12 years of experience in flood management and climate adaptation in Indonesia. At the East Java Provincial Water Resources Agency, she has worked on early warning systems, flood control projects, and risk management in vulnerable areas. She earned her Erasmus Mundus MSc in Coastal Hazards (COASTHAZAR) across the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal, where her research focused on compound flooding in coastal cities, combining hydrodynamic models (SFINCS, Delft3D) with socio-economic mapping. She also founded Airlaga Studio, an initiative that develops tools and storytelling methods to communicate climate and water risks, promoting Dutch-Indonesian collaboration on resilience and adaptation strategies.
