Dr. Aniendya Christianna is an Indonesian academic and researcher at Petra Christian University, Surabaya, specializing in art history, cultural, gender, and visual studies. Her work focuses on visual narratives in traditional artifacts, particularly batik. She has published widely and presented at national and international forums. She collaborates with BRIN and has been involved in textile exhibitions with the Indonesian Embassy in the Netherlands. Actively engaged in women’s empowerment, she works directly with batik artisan communities in East and Central Java and is a member of ORIGIN (Organization of Indonesian Researchers in the Netherlands).
