BIOGRAPHY
Prof. dr. Diantha Soemantri, MMedEd, PhD Department of Medical Education Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia
Diantha Soemantri is a Professor of Medical Education at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. She earned her medical degree from Universitas Indonesia in 2005, followed by a Master’s degree in Medical Education from the University of Dundee in 2007, and a Ph.D. in the same field from the University of Melbourne in 2013. She was selected as one of the 2023 Karolinska Institutet Prize for Research in Medical Education (KIPRIME) Fellows.
She previously served as the Head of the Master’s Program in Medical Education at Universitas Indonesia and played a key role in advancing multi- and interprofessional education within the university’s Health Sciences Cluster. In 2025, she was appointed Director of Digital Education Development at Universitas Indonesia.
Her research interests include student assessment, reflection and feedback, interprofessional education and collaborative practice, and the development of professionalism. She has authored over 70 publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals and serves as a peer
