Dr. Sylvia I. Bergh is Senior Researcher in the Centre of Expertise Global and Inclusive Learning at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. She combines this appointment with the position of Associate Professor in Development Management and Governance at the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam (NL). She completed her MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies and DPhil in Development Studies at the University of Oxford, having previously obtained an MA in Arabic and International Relations from the University of St Andrews (Scotland). Before her academic career, she worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C. and Morocco.
