Prof. Dr. Rizal Sebastian is Professor of Future Urban Systems at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and Senior Advisor on Digitalisation at The Netherlands Enterprise Agency RVO. He graduated with a BSc in architecture from Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia), an MSc in Construction Management from London South Bank University (UK), and a PhD from Delft University of Technology (NL). Before his academic career, he worked at an international engineering firm ARCADIS and the Dutch research institute TNO. In the last 23 years, he has coordinated numerous innovation projects on digital technologies for smart cities and a sustainable built environment.
