Dr. Rianne ‘t Hoen studied physics at the University of Utrecht. After her studies, she worked at Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research (FOM-DIFFER) on her PhD thesis about hydrogen retention in tungsten materials. Since February 2015 she works at DNV GL. Within DNV GL she focuses on the knowledge field of renewable energy, energy storage, battery safety, storage business case calculations and workshop & trainings. Rianne ’t Hoen contributes through project realisation, market studies, technology assessments, independent project evaluations and technical research in the role of technical consultant and project manager. Rianne is chairman of the Dutch normalisation committee NEC 21/35 cells and batteries.
