Dr. Pita Verweij is Associate professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development of Utrecht University. Her research focuses on land use, biodiversity and ecosystem services. She has supervised PhD research projects in Indonesia and was involved in training programmes on ‘The landscape approach in biodiversity conservation’ for Indonesian professionals organized by Kehati.
