Dr. Imron Suandy is the deputy director of animal product safety control in Directorate of Veterinary Public Health (VPH). He is responsible for the national Indonesian monitoring-surveillance program of animal product safety, and he is the supervisor for all VPH laboratories across the country including BPMSPH (as reference laboratory for animal product safety). He is an active participant in communication and discussion on the Regional Technical working group on AMR and will be an AMR focal point for Indonesia. Furthermore, he also is an OIE focal point on food safety (2015). He is currently a PhD student at Utrecht University.
