BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Dewi Santosaningsih is head of the Department of Clinical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University/Dr Saiful Anwar Hospital in Malang, Indonesia. She focuses her work on antimicrobial resistance and infection control in limited resources hospitals in Indonesia. Her PhD thesis (2017) was entitled “Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in Indonesia“, and performed as a collaborative project between Brawijaya University/Dr Saiful Anwar Hospital and Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. After PhD graduation, she continued studying on other resistant microorganisms, supervising multiple Indonesian PhD students.
