BIOGRAPHY
Ach. Fatayillah Mursyidi is a social researcher and human rights activist who has been engaged in interreligious activities, peace campaigns, and religious freedom advocacies. He has participated in a number of national as well as international conferences and presented papers on such topics as religious studies, Islamic Sufism, democracy, and globalization. He was born in Madura Island, East Java, in which he finished all his schooling degrees. In 2020, he earned his MA degree from CRCS (Center for Religious and Cross-cultural Studies), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta. His academic concern covers religious violence, Islam and human rights, and religion and science. Having been recently involved in a collaborative research on human and nature, he is now conducting an empirical analysis on their interrelatedness in Surabaya.
