Towards More Effective Research Collaboration
Speakers
Event Details
Research Collaboration is one of the fundamental mechanisms in promoting cooperation, innovation alliances, and greater collegiality between institutions and organizations. The opportunity and the ease of connectivity can encourage collaboration to manage crises and problems faced by society in such a better way. Research collaborations can provide and improve new research perspectives on existing practices, increase national research and innovation capacity, and open the opportunities to share access related to scientific research and facilities. Besides, research collaboration plays a significant role in creating a good research ecosystem and promoting innovation for societal impact.
Effective international collaboration also presents its own challenges, like cultural differences and different research contexts. Different actors, like central and local governments, academia, training centres, but also the public and private sector and the wider community furthermore have a role in optimising international collaboration. What can we learn from each other, and how can we make the most of our collaborations, especially for students and young researchers?
