Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals – from knowledge to practice: Public Health Perspectives
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought up an unprecedented crisis in only a short period of time. It has changed almost everything worldwide including a huge disruption on efforts to achieve global targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Up to 2020, the world had shown a significant progress in improving maternal and child health, expanding social and health protection, and improving access to celan water and electricity. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has set back the progress by increasing food insecurity and inequalities between groups.
This session aims to discuss further on how the COVID-19 pandemic affects the achievement progress of the SDGs from the view of Public health and how researcher in Indonesian and the Netherlands can contribute to mitigate the further devastated effect of the pandemic. Furthermore, Indonesian and Dutch researchers will share knowledge and experiences to inspire each other and set a common agenda for working in research and education toward this issue.
The session will be conducted online (webinar) for approximately 1.5 hours (90) minutes which comprised a presentation from different background of the speakers, and followed with a reflection session and will be ended with question and answer sessions and closing.
