Empowering Low-Tech Lab through Computational Thinking and CS Unplugged
Authors: Zakky Muhammad Noor

Information and technology disparities have created a significant gap in innovation and progress for the 3T regions (Outermost, Remote, and Disadvantaged) in Indonesia. To address this issue, Desamind Indonesia, in collaboration with Bebras Indonesia, PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Saumlaki, and local educational institutions, initiated the ``Babar Kalesang: Low-Tech Environment Laboratory for Babar Islands`` project. This project aims to minimize the gap in information and technology in the Babar Islands and empower the local community. The project focuses on strengthening the knowledge, capacity, and capabilities of the Babar Islands community in accessing information in education and technology. The project involved approximately 250 participants, including primary and secondary school students, as well as teachers. Through cross-sectoral coordination involving schools, village leaders, school supervisors, and the general community, the project successfully conducted activities and training sessions.
