Dr. Puspita Lisdiyanti, M. Agr. Chem. serves as the Director of Research Center for Biotechnology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) since 2019. She is also Senior Researcher in the field of Microbiology and Biotechnology. She was born di Yogyakarta, August 14, 1967 and worked in LIPI since 1987.

She graduated from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan for her bachelor degree in agriculture chemistry in 1992. She continued her Master and Doctoral degree in the field of microbiology at the Tokyo University of Agriculture, Japan from 1997 to 2002. She worked as research assistance in the same university from 2002-2004. Her research interest focuses on the exploring the microbial diversity, whole genome sequencing, and elucidating the potential uses of the microorganisms for health, agriculture, and environments purposes. She obtained some awards for her scientific achievements including from Japan Society of Culture Collection as young scientist (2004) in the field of microbiology and Habibie Prize (2020) in the field of biotechnology.
